A useful answer should not require surrendering your life story

Double You is an independent publication built by me, Timothé Paris, also known online as Obsidian. I am a developer, traveler, musician, and solo builder interested in practical AI, independent software, difficult journeys, and lower-carbon systems.

I started this site because search results increasingly contain confident, generic answers that take too long to say too little. The alternative here is simple: research a real question, produce the answer once, check it as a human, and maintain it as an ordinary web page.

Human experience and researched work

The original travel articles come from my own journeys and writing. New niche articles may use automation during research, organization, writing, or translation, but automation is never presented as personal experience. Articles must state their evidence honestly and pass review before entering the site.

The working theme behind my personal projects is engineering a high-tech, low-carbon life: using technology where it is genuinely useful while remaining honest about energy, cost, maintenance, privacy, and physical limits.

An independent project

This is built and maintained by one person. Ads and referral links may help pay for research, infrastructure, maintenance, and a reasonable salary. Ad blockers are welcome. If earnings materially exceed those needs, the excess is intended for ecological projects, with public reporting once donations actually begin.
