The standard
Double You exists to provide direct, practical answers that are more useful than generic search filler. Search demand can identify a question, but it is never enough reason to publish. An article must solve a real reader problem and add verified detail, judgment, comparison, or first-hand experience.
Research and sources
We prefer primary and authoritative sources for laws, schedules, prices, specifications, safety information, and other unstable facts. Sources must actually support the claim attached to them. Important facts are checked near publication and dated where staleness matters. Conflicts and uncertainty are stated instead of averaged into a confident answer.
Sources may appear inline or in a source list. Not every ordinary observation needs a citation, but consequential or changeable claims do. Referral value never makes a source authoritative.
AI assistance
Agents and language models may help discover questions, organize research, produce structured drafts, identify missing evidence, format Markdown, or prepare translations. They are not treated as factual sources. We do not permit invented sources, quotations, testing, travel, purchases, credentials, or personal experience.
Content must pass the editorial checks before it enters the site. The production method may be disclosed where a reader would reasonably want to know it.
Human review
Before publication, a human checks the article’s purpose, evidence, logic, tone, commercial influence, and useful answer. Review is not a ceremonial approval button: unsupported claims are removed or researched, weak sections are rewritten, and an article can be rejected.
Translations and SEO
Translation is localization, not keyword substitution. Titles, descriptions, headings, tags, categories, examples, units, and search phrasing must be natural for the target audience while preserving factual meaning and sources. Proper names stay unchanged only where local usage does. Each public translation must have a self-canonical URL and reciprocal hreflang links. Unreviewed language editions remain disabled or drafts so they cannot create thin indexed pages.
Corrections and updates
Readers can report an error through the contact page. We verify the report against evidence, correct material errors promptly, and update the verification date when a page is substantially rechecked. A correction should not silently convert uncertainty into a new unsupported claim.
Our baseline is Google Search’s guidance on AI-generated content, but passing a search checklist does not make an article good enough.
